Initiatives
Together with academia, community colleges, national labs, industry, and IL ecosystem - ISWN was created to address the complex workforce needs of the industry at the technician level and the undergraduate engineer level:
- Collaboration with Illinois Innovation Network (IIN) and Discovery Partners Institute (DPI) will help disseminate technician training programs to an expansive student body and support our scalability and sustainability plans, beyond the 2-year grant period.
- Work with our institutional programs and DPI, IIN, and Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) to recruit, educate, and retain talents in semiconductors and raise awareness about semiconductors among the broader IL community.
- Strong student mentoring with industry and faculty advisors will ensure successful outcomes related to knowledge building and job placement.
